Homeownership is one of the cornerstones of the American dream. Given the current downturn in the housing market, many families are insecure about their most important investment. To help homeowners, Congressman Bilirakis is bringing together leaders in home finance to aid families and individuals in navigating these uncertain times.

This event will provide information to families facing foreclosure or who are concerned about their current housing and financial situation.

Date: Saturday, May 22nd
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Place: Freedom High School 17410 Commerce Park Blvd. Tampa, FL 33647

The Congressman's websites lists a host of "Banks" who are requesting participants bring all their financial information like mortgage statements, bank statements and income statements including taxes and W2's. Bill Trudelle a 20 year mortgage professional who has led the fight against foreclosure fraud states: "I highly advise against anyone bringing such personal info to such a public forum, particularly to the very parties who screwed up Florida. Interestingly enough, there is not a single mortgage broker listed on the congressman's website. I state this because only a mortgage broker can be hired to represent YOU. The Banker can only represent the Bank and the Banks best interest, keep this mind if you or someone you know attends this function.
